Role Summary: The CFO/COO for a 501(c)(6) global trade association will serve as a dual-role executive responsible for overseeing both the financial and operational functions of a non-profit business association. This position is split evenly, with 50% of time dedicated to financial leadership and 50% to operational management.

The CFO/COO will ensure financial sustainability, compliance, and strategic growth, while also optimizing organizational effectiveness and service delivery. The role is virtual with less than 20% travel. Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required Master’s degree (MBA, or equivalent) preferred Certified Public Accountant preferred Experience: 10+ years in senior financial and operational roles, ideally in non-profit settings Experience as a VP of Finance, Finance Director, or Controller Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and capital structure decisions Experience managing relationships with bankers, auditors, and board members Experience leading high-performing teams under pressure and resolving internal organizational conflicts Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to partner effectively with the CEO, executive leadership team and Board Strong knowledge of non-profit accounting, regulatory compliance, and best operational practices Sustainability experience preferred Skills and Competencies: Expertise in budgeting, rolling forecasts, and predictive analytics to drive business decisions Oversee the billing, collection, and recognition of member dues, which is the primary revenue source Develop and manage the annual operating budget, including forecasting revenue The ability to partner with the CEO to shape long-term bus
