Senior Performance & Reliability Engineer

Remora is seeking a Senior Performance & Reliability Engineer to build and own the performance analytics function for our growing fleet of industrial carbon capture systems. This individual will build the function from the ground up, establishing KPIs, performance baselines, monitoring systems, and analytical tools that turn operational data into actionable insights around system performance, reliability, commissioning, and maintenance.

This is a highly autonomous role for someone comfortable operating with limited direction, working directly with engineering teams to understand complex hardware and developing scalable analytics that can grow from individual systems to an entire fleet.   We’re building modular carbon capture systems, turning exhaust into beverage-grade CO₂ sold to breweries and greenhouses.

We deploy in regions facing severe CO₂ shortages, where prices are highest, allowing us to generate high margins without relying on tax credits or carbon credits.   We’ve raised over $115 million in funding from top investors including Lowercarbon Capital, Union Square Ventures, First Round Capital, Y Combinator, and Valor Equity Partners.

  Responsibilities: Build the performance analytics function from the ground up, establishing the strategy, tools, processes, and standards for monitoring deployed hardware. Define system-level KPIs, performance metrics, operating baselines, and acceptable ranges for carbon capture systems and supporting equipment.

Develop scalable analytics and dashboards to monitor fleet performance, availability, efficiency, CO₂ capture and production, equipment health, and degradation. Partner with controls and systems engineers to leverage Ignition SCADA, SQL historians, and other operational data so
